Over   the   years   St   Ives   has   attracted   many   visitors to   its   award   winning   beaches   and   quaint   cobbled streets.    Its    quiet    corners    and    rocky    paths    lend themselves   to   exploring. The   eclectic   mix   of   shops along   with   the   varied   array   of   quality   restaurants has    made    St    Ives    a    truly    outstanding    holiday destination.
Since    the    nineteenth    century    artists    have    been coming   to   work   in   St   Ives   and   today   there   is   still   a thriving    art    community.    The    town    boasts    such cultural   attractions   as   Tate   St   Ives,   The   Barbara Hepworth   Museum   and   Leach   Pottery.   There   are also    many    smaller    galleries    and    studios    who showcase   a   variety   of   artists   many   inspired   by   the romantic landscape and unique quality of light.
The     stunning     beaches     offer     something     for everyone.   Safe   and   sheltered   Porthgwidden,   the family   atmosphere   of   Porthminster   and   Porthmeor with   its   surf   school,   golden   sand   and   spectacular sunsets.   There   is   also   the   picturesque   harbour,   a real    suntrap    and    an    ideal    place    to    sit    and relax. Nearby    you    will    find    many    of    Cornwall’s famous attractions.
St    Michael’s    Mount    where    at    low    tide    you    can enjoy   a   walk   across   the   causeway   to   this   iconic rocky   island   crowned   by   a   medieval   church   and castle.   The   Minack   Theatre,   a   uniquely   situated open-air   theatre   on   the   cliffs   at   Porthcurno,   near Lands End.
And    of    course    Cornwall    boasts    a    300    mile section,   almost   50%   of   the   South   West   Coastal Path.    The    sheer    variety    of    the    Coastal    Path means   that   there   are   plenty   of   gentle   stretches   as well     as     dramatic     headlands,     steep     coastal valleys,     busy     harbours,     intimate     coves,     and sandy beaches.
We   are   a   small   business   based   in   St   Ives   with   an association    to    the    town    going    back    over    100 years,   stay   in   one   of   our   properties   and   enjoy   all that Cornwall has to offer.
